Spanish Classes at a Glance
Children in grades 2nd through 5th will be taking Spanish in their classrooms. From the beginning the children will have listening, reading, writing and speaking activities throughout their lesson. They will learn the Spanish letters and their sounds. They will also learn songs, chants and expressions in the target language (Spanish). They will be able to talk about themselves and each other. They will take their flash cards (index cards) home, when we finish learning a theme (e.g. greetings, colors, family, animals, etc.). I'll give out a homework assignment twice a month, or as necessary. I want the children to have fun learning Spanish. To the right of this page under files and World Language Lessons, please find more about our themes and the Spanish World Language Curriculum. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I look forward to a great year! Gracias. Thank you.
